David Hisey is the founder and President. He has been in the stone industry for over thirty years, starting out as a stonemason in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. After graduating in Geology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, he started his own stone business. Since then, he has worked in sales, management, and both domestic and global sourcing of stone products. He has built his career forging lasting relationships around the world.

Lee Syer stays on the road. He has a background in Chemistry and has spent most of his adult life traveling the world. From Europe to Africa to South America, he continues to explore new places, always looking for new opportunities and products. His relationships with all kinds of people from around the globe epitomize our idea of global connections.

Charlotte Hisey keeps things going in the office. Married to David for 33 years, she has learned the stone industry by learning from his expertise. Working
as the Operations Manager, she keeps everything
organized and running smoothly.

Global Connections connects buyers and sellers of all kinds of landscaping and building stone, both domestically and from around the world. Connecting quarries and distributors, we work as importers and agents, helping companies find the best quality products available.

We have relationships with both domestic producers and international factories and can find the stone you want. We have a wide variety stone products including sandstone, limestone, slate, granite, or quartzite including flagstone, landscaping stone, many types of sawn veneer, and thicker stone from which to choose.

For international stone, we can import the stone for you or work
with you in order for you to import directly from the factory. We
have a wide variety of stone available, but always enjoy sourcing unique requests.

With so many years working in the stone industry, we also act as consultants, helping to educate and help those interested in stone learn the many facets and aspects of the business.
